DEFINITION
Is a prohibition an event in the past event.
Is the telling of a story or  the succession of events is given in chronological order.
Is designed how something is achieved through a sequence of steps.

PURPOSE
To tell what happened in the past event and entertain the readers.
To entertain, create, stimulate emotions, motivate, give and teach, gain and hold a readers' interest.
To explains how to make a something or for give information to others people.

GENERIC STRUCTURE
-Orientation, provides the background information needed to understand the text such as who was involved, where it happened.
-A series of events, ordered in a chronological sequnce.
-Re-orientation, at various stage there may be some personal comment on the incident.
-Orientation, which sets the scene and introduces the participant (it answers the questions who, when, what, and where).
-Complication, in which a crisis or problem arises, which usually involves the main characters.
-Resolution, a solution to the problem (for beter or for worse). Here, main characters find a ways to solve the problem.
-Coda, change to the main characters and the moral massages which find the readers.
-Goal (or title)
-Materials (not required for all procedural texts).
-Sequence of steps, a way to make a something.

LANGUAGE FEATURE
-Spesies participant.
-Use of simple past tense.
